BOONEVILLE, Miss. - The Northeast Mississippi Community College football program will circumnavigate the Magnolia State during the first month of the upcoming 2025 season.

The Tigers open their traditional nine-game slate inside the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) by playing three of the first four contests on the road.

"They can't let being on the road affect anything. It's part of the challenges of our schedules on a year-to-year basis," said Northeast head coach Greg Davis. "The most important thing is going to be how much they focus and put the emphasis on winning every day."

The Tigers christen their 66th all-time season by traveling to East Central Community College and Southwest Mississippi Community College on August 28th and September 4th, respectively.

It is the first time that Northeast will start with consecutive away games since the 2010 campaign. These are coincidentally the longest trips of the entire year for the Tigers as well.

The home opener for Northeast on Thursday, September 11 against Mississippi Delta Community College also signals the beginning of six marquee north division matchups in a row.

The Tigers close out September by journeying to Holmes Community College on the 18th before welcoming defending conference champion Northwest Mississippi Community College one week later.

The MACCC will observe a bye date for the second successive season. There are no contests on the docket during what would usually be week six, which falls between October 2-4 this year.

Sixteen days will pass before Northeast gets the back half of its schedule underway on October 11th at East Mississippi Community College. It will be the fourth straight meeting between the two teams in Scooba that takes place on a Saturday afternoon.

"We're going to have to approach the off week a little bit differently," Davis said. "We're going to have to go out there and have some higher tempo and higher physical contact than what we normally would at practice just because of the time lapse."

Homecoming festivities will consume the Booneville campus in mid-October. Coahoma Community College serves as the Tigers' opponent for that significant date on the 16th.

Northeast wraps up the regular season by making the short trek to archrival Itawamba Community College on October 23rd and hosting Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Halloween Eve.

Kickoff for each of Northeast's home games remains at 6:30 p.m. with the exception of homecoming. The "Battle of the Tigers" will take place at 7 p.m. due to the extra activities on that day, including the annual sports and alumni hall of fame ceremony.
