BOONEVILLE, Miss. - The Northeast Mississippi Community College football program wants its amazing supporters to arrive early, be loud and look the part this season.

The Tigers have scheduled game themes for each of their four home dates as part of the upcoming 2023 campaign.

Northeast starts the new season inside Tiger Stadium for the first time since the coronavirus affected 2020 campaign on Thursday, September 7 when Hinds Community College makes the journey northward.

That will be Northeast's annual Military Appreciation Night. Active soldiers and veterans from any branch of service will receive free admission by presenting their military identification card at any entrance.

Northeast has also created a veterans pass, which admits the bearer into any on-campus event for no charge. For more information on this card, contact the office of the president at 662-720-7200 or by email at mwdevaughn@nemcc.edu

The Tigers will salute another outstanding sophomore class, which features around 30 student-athletes, that evening as well. This recognition should take place approximately 30 minutes before kickoff.

One of the top rivalries in the Magnolia State is renewed two weeks later when Itawamba Community College comes to town. The conference opener for both teams will serve as Northeast's Black Out Game.

The pageantry of homecoming envelops the City of Hospitality on Thursday, October 5 as the Tigers welcome Holmes Community College. The queen and the remainder of her court will be officially presented at halftime.

Northeast rounds out its home slate on Thursday, October 26 with the "Battle of the Tigers" against visiting Coahoma Community College. This will be a Pink Out Game in support of breast cancer awareness month.

Fans are also invited to come interact with Northeast's players, support staff and coaches for the first time this year at Meet the Tigers on Tuesday, September 5 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Booneville.
