Northeast Mississippi Community College Athletics

Danielle Ashley was named assistant athletic trainer at Northeast Mississippi Community College in July 2024.

Her primary responsibilities at Northeast include the baseball, football, men’s tennis, softball and women’s tennis programs.

She spent the last seven years at Encore Rehabilitation in northwest Alabama. She provided athletic training care to athletes at Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Phil Campbell and Hackleburg high schools.

The New Albany native received her Bachelor of science in Athletic Training in 2015 from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ashley helped cover the Golden Eagles’ baseball and women’s soccer programs.

She also worked with the Hattiesburg Clinic, Petal Physical Therapy, Southern Miss Student Health Clinic, AAA Ambulance Services and Presbyterian Christian School.

In May 2017, Ashley received her Master of Science in Sport and Human Performance from Delta State University.

While at Delta State, she provided athletic training care to women’s soccer and tennis athletes as well as other teams when needed.

Ashley is an American Heart Association (AHA) certified CPR Instructor. She is married to Alex and the couple has two children, Riverlynn and Rhudd.
