NORTHEAST DROPS NORTH DIVISION OPENER TO ITAWAMBA IN FULTON

In the opener Coach Alexander's team played a hard fought first half trailing by one point at intermission 33-32, but ICC pulled away in the second frame to win 80-55..

However, in the second frame the Lady Tigers had a hard time getting things going from the floor shooting just 9-of-25 for 36-percent while the Lady Indians hit on 18-for-31 for 58-percent.

Rosedale freshman LaTonya Gadison had another solid performance for Northeast leading the way with 16 points and four boards followed by nine points and eight rebounds by freshman Talisa Boyd.

Top performers for ICC were Ty-Nita Baker with 21 points, Latoya Collins had 17, Ayanna Lynn added 15, while LyTia Coleman finished with 12.

Up next for Northeast will be Northwest Mississippi Community College at Bonner Arnold Coliseum for another north division match-up.

Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. for the ladies and 7:30 for the men.
