The Northeast Mississippi Community College women's basketball team started the 2014-15 season in dramatic fashion with a 102-98 double overtime victory against Southwest Mississippi Community College on the first day of the Northeast Tipoff Classic. Daisha Williams connected on a three-point basket with eight seconds remaining in regulation to force the extra period. After the heart pounding win, Lady Tigers head coach Brian Alexander, Williams and Dashiyah Agnew, who had 21 points in her first collegiate game, talked about the big victory to start the campaign.
