BOONEVILLE, Miss. - The Northeast Mississippi Community College football program is bringing back one of its most popular programs for one of the biggest nights of the entire season.

The Tigers will wear special customizable jerseys during their annual Pink Out Game against nationally ranked Northwest Mississippi Community College on Thursday, October 17.

"It's just a huge thing for us to help give back," said Northeast head coach Greg Davis. "That's the greatest thing about this is we're trying to help our world and our people.

"These kids took a lot of pride in it last year. It was fun to watch. I told them last year, 'You're playing for somebody else on your back.' This is just a great cause. It's a really good thing."

The Tigers are offering their fans a chance to honor family members or close friends that have bravely battled cancer by placing their name on the back of one of these jerseys for just $50.

Northeast's student-athletes will proudly represent these individuals on the field as they battle the Rangers. The jerseys will then be available for pickup on the Booneville campus or sent by mail to the buyer on Monday, October 21.

ACCO Brands Corporation, which is one of the world's largest designers, marketers and manufacturers of branded academic, consumer and business products, is once again partnering with the Tigers on this significant project.

Fifty percent of all sales will be matched by ACCO Brands and donated to City of Hope, which is a world leader in the research and treatment of cancer based in California. It is one of just 49 comprehensive cancer centers in the country as recognized by the National Cancer Institute.

These jerseys are manufactured by adidas, which agreed to an exclusive five-year agreement earlier this year to become the official apparel and uniform supplier for each of Northeast's seven intercollegiate athletic programs.

Adidas is one of the largest sporting goods companies in the world. It is currently celebrating 70 years of creating new and innovative products that are aimed at helping athletes perform at a higher level.

The jersey is predominantly black, which is one of the Tigers' primary colors, with white stripes on the sleeves as well. A pink "Northeast" in all capital letters adorns the front along with bold pink numerals on both the front and back of the uniform.

Payments can be made with cash, debit or credit cards. Make checks payable to Northeast Football and send by mail to Northeast Development Foundation, Attn: Pink Out Jersey, 101 Cunningham Blvd., Booneville, Miss., 38829.
