Booneville, Miss. - Gridiron fanatics can once again whet their appetite as fall quickly approaches with the final high school all-star game of the academic year hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Northeast welcomes some 90 local student-athletes and coaches for the sixth annual Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association (NEMFCA) All-Star Game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at Tiger Stadium.
Those that cannot attend the matchup can watch it live on NEMCCTV. Tune in starting at 5:50 p.m. for the pregame show by visiting www.nemcctv.com on any computer, smartphone or tablet.

Players reported to the Booneville campus on Monday, May 14 for measurements and room assignments. Both teams will hold up to five practices over a three-day period depending on weather conditions to prepare for the contest.
The two squads are generally split based upon the location of their school either east or west of U.S. Highway 45 from the Tennessee state line to Shannon and U.S. Highway 45 Alternate to the junction of U.S. Highway 82. Adjustments can be made if necessary.
The East captured a thrilling 35-34 victory last season by getting a touchdown plus two-point conversion in overtime to retake the all-time series lead at 3-2 and snap a two-game winning streak by the West.
The West pitched a shutout in 2016 with a 31-0 decision over the East and one year earlier scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to complete an epic come-from-behind 17-16 triumph.
The East won the first two meetings in the NEMFCA All-Star Game. They took a 10-7 double overtime affair in the inaugural matchup, which was played at Saltillo High School, before routing the West 36-0 during the 2014 tilt.
Okolona High School's Lamart Harvey makes his return to Prentiss County, where he coached at Thrasher High School for several years, to serve as headman of the East team.
Harvey's assistants are Michael Campbell (Smithville), Richey Dillinger (Kossuth), Parrish Huddleston (Baldwyn), Luke Kiihnl (Tupelo), C.J. Lathan (Okolona), Colbry Lathan (Okolona), Grady Stegall (Okolona) and Cal Worley (Thrasher).
The West team is instructed by head coach Ben Ashley of Choctaw County High School. He is assisted by Burt Ashley (Choctaw County), Rolandus Cox (Ashland), Ty Hardin (Houston), Mickey Mapp (Pontotoc), Eric Marshall (Eupora), Jason Russell (Lafayette County), Jason Smith (East Webster) and Jim Wood (Choctaw County).
