Byers…Also on the sidelines as East Union hosted its first-ever postseason contest one week later at Northeast’s Tiger Stadium…Also played basketball, cross country and track…Captured seven state championships between the two running sports…Won the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A long jump competition in 2015…Helped the Lady Urchins capture the 2016 MHSAA Class 2A cross country title by placing among the top 50 individual finishers in the race…Repeated as MHSAA Class 2A champion in long jump during her senior season with a distance of 17-06.00 and also added the 100 meter hurdles crown with a time of 16.67.
