Leigh Treloar is in her fifth year as a student-athlete success coach at Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Northeast student-athletes have tied or broken numerous academic school records for three consecutive seasons. That includes 57 Academic All-Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) and 35 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic Student-Athlete Awards in 2022.

Five Northeast athletic programs, including baseball, men’s golf, men's tennis, softball and women's basketball, garnered 2022 NJCAA All-Academic Team recognition. Men's golf has also captured MACCC Academic Team of the Year honors twice since Treloar arrived on the Booneville campus.

Treloar came to Northeast from Mississippi State University where she served as an assistant coach for the women’s golf program. The Lady Bulldogs won five individual titles and four team titles during her tenure with the team.

The Meridian native was also an award-winning student-athlete as a member of the women’s golf program at Mississippi State. She saw action in 23 tournaments during a five-year career with the Lady Bulldogs.

Treloar improved both her scoring average and tournament scores each season. She earned a starting spot in all nine tournaments that Mississippi State participated in during her senior campaign.

She was twice named to the National Golf Coaches Association, which is now the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), All-American Scholar Team. Treloar was also selected to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Community Service Team in 2010.

The Lamar School graduate was a member of Mississippi State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years. Treloar was the M-Club’s secretary as a senior.

Treloar received a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in public relations and a Master's degree in sports administration from Mississippi State. She and her husband Justin married in the summer of 2015 and the couple has two daughters, Ramsey and Sophie.
