Anna Bolton was named the assistant athletic trainer at Northeast Mississippi Community College in July 2023.

This is her first year on the Booneville campus. Bolton spends plenty of time inside legendary Bonner Arnold Coliseum as her primary sports to cover are volleyball plus men’s and women’s basketball.

Bolton recently completed her Board of Certification (BOC) exam through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). She obtained the titles of Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) as a result.

The Lanett, Ala., native graduated first from Southern Union State (Ala.) Community College with an Associate’s of Science. Bolton then attended the University of Alabama where she obtained a Bachelor’s in athletic training.

She assisted the Alabama athletic training staff as a student worker during football, volleyball and women’s basketball seasons. She got to venture across the Southeastern Conference (SEC) with the volleyball team.

Bolton also had brief stints with the athletic training staffs at fellow Alabama institutions Samford University, Shelton State Community College and Hillcrest High School.

Bolton joined the Lady Buccaneers in their run to the 2022 Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) championship. She also traveled with Shelton State to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament in Lubbock, Texas.

She assisted with football and women’s basketball camps at Alabama during the summertime as well. Bolton’s final position prior to graduation was at ATI Physical Therapy.
